Check out the options below, and reach out to us with any questions!
Airports, etc.
ROA - Roanoke, VA**
GSO - Greensboro, NC (~90 min drive)
CLT - Charlotte, NC (~3 hr drive)
RDU - Raleigh, NC (~3 hr drive)
RIC - Richmond, VA (~3 hr drive)
IAD - Dulles, VA (~3.5 hr drive)
DCA - Washington, DC (~4 hr drive)
There is also an Amtrak train station downtown.
**Roanoke has its own tiny airport. It can be convenient, but it can also be delay-prone with relatively few flights coming in and going out each day. If opting for ROA, we recommend options with generous layovers. (We often drive to CLT or RDU, and fly direct from there.)
hotels, etc.
We’ve highlighted a few hotels we think are particularly convenient below — but this is by no means an exhaustive list of good options! Roanoke offers many accommodations, including several hotels on the north side near the airport and Hollins University, as well as several on the southwest side in Cave Spring. Getting around Roanoke by car is easy, so staying close to the venue isn’t essential.
Also feel free to look for B&Bs! The venue is in the Old Southwest neighborhood. Downtown, Bellview Terrace, Grandin, Mountain View, Raleigh Court, Wasena, Wildwood, Woodcliff are all nice areas close by!
